Admissions for the 2026-27 academic session are open across all 15 programmes at BITE Varanasi. This post is a single reference for everything an applicant needs — programmes, eligibility, fees, dates, documents, process.

Every programme is MGKVP-affiliated. B.Ed, B.P.Ed, and D.El.Ed are also NCTE-recognised.

Eligibility at a glance
- UG programmes (BA / B.Sc. / B.Com / BBA / BCA): 10+2 pass with relevant stream (BA is open; B.Sc. requires Science stream; B.Com / BBA open to most streams; BCA requires Mathematics).
- MA programmes: Bachelor's degree (any recognised UG, minimum 45%) with subject alignment where applicable.
- M.Com: B.Com or equivalent with minimum 45%.
- B.Ed: Bachelor's degree (any UG, minimum 50%).
- B.P.Ed: Bachelor's degree with physical education background OR 50% in any UG with demonstrated sports achievement.
- D.El.Ed: 10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate.
Reserved category relaxation: 5% across the board, per UP state norms.
Fee structure
Fees vary by programme. Professional programmes (B.Ed, B.P.Ed, D.El.Ed) have standard MGKVP fee structures; UG / PG programmes have the regular undergraduate / postgraduate fee scales. Current cycle fees are on the fee structure page with semester-wise breakdowns.
Payment options: bank transfer, online payment via the admissions portal, or demand draft at the admissions office.
Scholarships
BITE participates in a range of scholarship schemes:
- Central government scholarships via UGC-recognised MGKVP affiliation
- UP state scholarships for SC / ST / OBC categories
- Minority scholarships for eligible communities
- Merit scholarships at the college level for high-scoring entrants

The 5-step application process
1. Create an account on the online application portal 2. Fill the application form — personal details, academic record, programme preference 3. Upload documents — scanned mark sheet, ID proof, photograph, caste certificate (if applicable) 4. Pay application fee — online payment or DD 5. Submit and track status — you'll receive email updates on shortlisting, verification, and admission
For programmes with limited seats, merit-based shortlisting happens after the application window. Document verification is scheduled at BITE's campus.

Common questions
Can I apply for more than one programme? Yes, but you commit to one at the time of seat confirmation. Admission preference and eligibility are evaluated programme-by-programme.
Is there an entrance exam at BITE? No. Most programmes use merit-based shortlisting from the 10+2 or bachelor's percentage. Specific professional programmes follow MGKVP's counselling norms.

I'm from outside UP — are there hostels? BITE does not operate on-campus hostels. The admissions office can help outstation students find safe, affordable private accommodation in Babatpur within walking distance of the campus. Typical monthly rent ranges from ₹3,000–₹6,000 depending on amenities.
